Dr. Barbarino successfully combines the science of medicine with innovation in her thriving medical practices in both Austin and Los Angeles. She is double  board-certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her patients visit from near and far for face, lip, and neck lifts, eyelid rejuvenation, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and non-surgical procedures including neuromodulators, threads, and filler.

Education

Dr. Barbarino, born and raised in California, graduated cum laude from University of Southern California with a BA in Political Science. Post college, she attended Columbia University where she received a Post Baccalaureate from the Pre-Medical Program. Subsequently, Dr. Barbarino matriculated in Jefferson College’s Medical School in Philadelphia and completed her internship at New York Hospital and her residency in ophthalmology at New York University’s Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Thereafter, Dr. Barbarino continued refining her expertise and received a Fellow in Oculoplastics from Montefiore Medical Center and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary; a Fellow in General Full Body Cosmetic Plastic Surgery from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery at the Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgical Group; and a Fellow in Facial Plastic Surgery from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery at The Morrow Institute.

Dr. Barbarino was a five-time recipient of both the Compassionate Doctor Award and Patients’ Choice Award. Dr. Barbarino was also the recipient of the Aesthetic Multispecialty Society Award, LA Magazine’s Super Doctor Southern California, RealSelf Verified Doctor, and the coveted Woman of Achievement Award from Lupus LA.

Dr. Barbarino is featured in the media frequently sharing her cutting-edge innovations and research. She shared her research focused on neuromodulators, philosophy about patient care, and filler and neuromodulator injection techniques with Modern Aesthetics, AACS, Real Self University, American Health TV, and California Life and American Society of Cataract. 

Throughout Dr. Barbarino’s career, she has researched and published over a dozen papers. Over the past three years, Dr. Barbarino led several research studies evaluating neurotoxins, approaches to tear trough deformities, novel approaches for treating dry eye, and brow suspension lifting techniques.

Dr. Barbarino is passionate about providing top notch care for her patients. Outside of the clinic and operating room. she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, watching Netflix, and high fashion. She is the wife of a supportive and entrepreneurial husband, Eric, and the loving mother to an adorable and inquisitive 7 year-old son, Jake.
